ويرحب بالالتزام الذي قطعه الرئيس نكورونزيزا بتقديم المسؤولين عن هذه الانتهاكات إلى العدالة، ويشجع الحكومة البوروندية على السعي إلى تحقيق هذه الغاية بالعمل الوثيق مع مراقبي الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان.

6. The Committee encouraged the Government of Burundi to continue its efforts to restore lasting peace in the country and to fully implement the political and economic reforms already under way.

Therefore, the Committee encourages the Government of Burundi to ratify the treaties to which it is not yet a party, namely the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.

20. The Committee welcomed the improvement in the overall situation in Burundi and encouraged the Government of Burundi to continue the dialogue with all the parties to the conflict with a view to restoring the democratic process and establishing all the necessary conditions for true national reconciliation.
٢٠ - ترحب اللجنة بتحسن الحالة العامة في بوروندي، وتشجع الحكومة البوروندية على مواصلة الحوار مع جميع الأطراف في النزاع بغية استئناف العملية الديمقراطية وتهيئة جميع الظروف اللازمة لتحقيق مصالحة وطنية حقيقية.

The willingness of the Government of Burundi to hold peace negotiations with all parties to the conflict, including armed factions, and the talks held in Rome set off a wave of discontent and protest, especially among the students of the University of Burundi in Bujumbura.
١٣ - وأثار عزم الحكومة البوروندية على إجراء مفاوضات سلام مع جميع أطراف النزاع، بما في ذلك الفصائل المسلحة، وعلى إجراء المحادثات في روما، موجة من الاستياء والاحتجاج بين صفوف طلبة جامعة بوروندي في بوجمبورا على وجه الخصوص.

7. Invites the international community to continue to lend its political, diplomatic, material and financial support to end the violence, to help the Government of Burundi to find a lasting solution to the political and ethnic tensions and to create conditions to favour the reintegration of refugees and displaced persons and, in this context, requests the Secretary-General to strengthen the office of his special representative in Bujumbura;
٧- تدعو المجتمع الدولي الى مواصلة تقديم دعم سياسي ودبلوماسي ومادي ومالي من أجل وضع حد للعنف، ومساعدة الحكومة البوروندية على ايجاد حل دائم للتوترات السياسية - الاثنية، وايجاد الظروف المؤاتية ﻹعادة ادماج اللاجئين والمشردين، وترجو، في هذا اﻹطار، من اﻷمين العام أن يعزز مكتب ممثله الخاص في بوجومبورا؛

Lastly, through the Burundian naval forces, they control all maritime traffic on Lake Tanganyika and Lake Kivu.
