The UNEP Division of Early Warning and Assessment had completed and published a number of assessments and early warning reports in 2006 and would continue to do so in 2007, when the fourth Global Environment Outlook report would appear.
وقد أكملت شعبة الإنذار المبكر والتقييم التابعة لليونيب عددا من التقييمات والتقارير المتعلقة بالإنذار المبكر في عام 2006 ونشرتها، وستواصل القيام بذلك في عام 2007، حيث ستُصدر تقرير " توقعات البيئة العالمية " الرابع.

At its 2nd meeting, on the morning of Thursday, 21 February, the Committee of the Whole considered the draft decision on the response to the findings of the fourth Global Environment Outlook report (GEO-4).

The fourth Global Environment Outlook report (GEO-4) provides an assessment of climate change and how it interlinks with other environmental challenges (UNEP/GCSS.X/3 and UNEP/GCSS.X/INF.8).

It commenced its consideration of it with a presentation by Mr. Steiner on the findings laid out in the fourth Global Environment Outlook report (GEO-4), which was the subject of a report of the Executive Director before the Council/Forum (UNEP/GCSS.X/3).
وبدأ بحثه لهذا البند بتقديم السيد شتاينر عرضاً للنتائج الواردة في تقرير توقعات البيئة العالمية الرابع GEO-4 (UNEP/GCSS.X/3) وهو موضوع تقرير للمدير التنفيذي معروض على مجلس الإدارة/المنتدى البيئي الوزاري العالمي.

The Meeting noted the early warning and assessment activities of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in particular the ongoing preparation of the fourth Global Environment Outlook report, the Global Environment Outlook Yearbook for 2006 and various other regional assessments and reports, such as Africa Environment Outlook and Carpathians Environment Outlook.
9- ولاحظ الاجتماع أنشطة الإنذار المبكر والتقييم التي يضطلع بها برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة (اليونيب)، وخصوصا التحضير الجاري لإصدار تقرير توقعات البيئة العالمية الرابع وحولية توقعات البيئة العالمية لعام 2006 وتقييمات وتقارير إقليمية أخرى مختلفة، مثل توقعات البيئة الأفريقية وتوقعات البيئة في منطقة جبال كارباثيان.

Under this agenda item, the Council/Forum will have before it a report of the Executive Director on the findings of the fourth Global Environment Outlook report (UNEP/GCSS/X/3), the GEO Yearbook 2008 (UNEP/GCSS/X/INF/2) and a summary of the fourth Global Environment Outlook report for decision makers (UNEP/GCSS/X/INF/8).
