Finally, the Working Group calls upon States to take appropriate measures to prevent inadequate conditions of pre-trial detention from compromising the equality between prosecution and defence, which is a fundamental guarantee of a fair trial and thus a pre-condition to avoiding arbitrary detention.
وفي الختام، يطلب الفريق العامل إلى الدول اتخاذ التدابير الملائمة للحيلولة دون أن تؤدي ظروف الاحتجاز غير المناسبة قبل المحاكمة إلى الانتقاص من التكافؤ بين الادعاء والدفاع، إذ إن ذلك التكافؤ يعتبر ضمانة أساسية لمحاكمة عادلة وبالتالي شرطا مسبقا لتفادي الاحتجاز التعسفي.

58 - وتطلب اللجنة الخاصة أن تتخذ الأمم المتحدة التدابير الملائمة للحيلولة دون أن تؤدي ادعاءات سوء السلوك غير المدعمة بأدلة إلى الإضرار بمصداقية بعثات حفظ السلام التابعة للأمم المتحدة أو البلدان المساهمة بقوات أو أفراد حفظ السلام التابعين للأمم المتحدة.

6. In its resolution 61/155, the General Assembly called upon States that are parties to an armed conflict to take all appropriate measures to prevent persons from going missing in connection with armed conflicts and account for persons reported missing as a result of such a situation.
6 - أهابت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 61/155 بالدول الأطراف في نزاع مسلح أن تتخذ جميع التدابير الملائمة للحيلولة دون فقدان أشخاص بسبب النزاع المسلح، وأن تبين مصير الأشخاص الذين يبلغ عن فقدانهم نتيجة لهذا الوضع.

51. The Special Committee requests that the United Nations take appropriate measures to prevent unsubstantiated allegations of misconduct from damaging the credibility of any United Nations peacekeeping mission or troop-contributing country or United Nations peacekeeping personnel.

7. In its resolution 63/183, the General Assembly called upon States that are parties to an armed conflict to take all appropriate measures to prevent persons from going missing in connection with armed conflict and account for persons reported missing as a result of such a situation.
7 - أهابت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 63/183 بالدول الأطراف في نزاع مسلح أن تتخذ جميع التدابير الملائمة للحيلولة دون فقدان أشخاص بسبب النزاع المسلح، وأن تبين مصير الأشخاص الذين يعتبرون في عداد المفقودين نتيجة لهذا الوضع.
