16. " Pre-ratification assistance " may be defined as assistance in meeting the immediate and specific requirements of States for undertaking the necessary steps leading to the ratification of the Convention and, as the case may be, one or more of its protocols.

9. The Special Adviser informed the Committee that she and the Division for the Advancement of Women had taken every possible opportunity to encourage ratification of the Convention and its Optional Protocol, as well as acceptance of the amendment to article 20, paragraph 1, of the Convention.
9 - وأفادت المستشارة الخاصة اللجنة بأنها وشُعبة النهوض بالمرأة قد اغتنمتا كل الفرص الممكنة للحض على التصديق على الاتفاقية وعلى بروتوكولها الاختياري، وكذا على قبول تعديل الفقرة 1 من المادة 20 من الاتفاقية.

38. The Committee recalls the obligations assumed by States on ratifying the Convention and, accordingly, calls upon them to ensure that all necessary measures are taken, regardless of the authority of the State party that orders those measures and of their nature, in full conformity with the obligations arising from the ratification of the Convention and other relevant international instruments.
38- تذكّر اللجنة بالالتزامات التي يتعين على الدولة الوفاء بها بمصادقتها على الاتفاقية، وفي هذا السياق تذكّر بالتأكد من اتخاذ جميع التدابير، أياً كانت سلطة الدولة التي تتخذ هذه التدابير وطبيعتها، بما يتماشى تماماً مع الالتزامات الناشئة عن التصديق على الاتفاقية وعلى الصكوك الدولية الأخرى ذات الصلة.

Viet Nam is actively considering ratification of the Convention and ILO Convention No. 159 concerning Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Disabled Persons) (1983), and is currently finalizing a national action plan to support persons with disabilities, with the final aim of developing a national legal framework in line with the Convention and other international standards.
33- تبحث فييت نام بشكل حثيث التصديق على الاتفاقية وعلى اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 159 بشأن التأهيل المهني والعمالة (المعوقون) (1983)، وهي تضع حالياً اللمسات الأخيرة على خطة عمل وطنية لدعم الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، يكون هدفها النهائي وضع إطار قانوني وطني يتماشى مع الاتفاقية والمعايير الدولية الأخرى.
