It was suggested that the Manual of Special Procedures should be improved by adding guidance on working with national human rights institutions; that future induction sessions for new mandate holders include additional information on interaction with such institutions; and a document on best practices in cooperation between national human rights institutions and special procedures be compiled.
55- واقتُرح تحسين دليل الإجراءات الخاصة بإضافة إرشادات بشأن العمل مع المؤسسات الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان؛ وإدراج معلومات إضافية عن التفاعل مع هذه المؤسسات في الدورات التوجيهية التي ستُنَظم في المستقبل للمكلفين بالولايات الجدد؛ وإعداد وثيقة بشأن أفضل الممارسات في التعاون بين المؤسسات الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان والمكلفين بولايات الإجراءات الخاصة.

The Secretary-General reiterates the call of the High Commissioner for Human Rights for greater cooperation between NHRIs and ombudsman institutions for the improvement of national human rights frameworks.

5. Mr. Bhagwati said he was in favour of strengthening cooperation between NHRIs and the Committee, and suggested that individual Committee members with ties to particular countries should collaborate more closely with relevant national bodies.

The participants adopted a set of principles aimed at providing guidance on how to develop the cooperation between NHRIs and Parliaments called the Belgrade principles on the relationship between NHRIs and parliaments (see annex).
