Participants noted that priority application areas for the transfer of space-related technologies were cube satellite and microsatellite projects, integrated water management, degradation of land, oil spills and petroleum and natural gas pollution, and natural hazards, including earthquakes, landslides, flooding, dust storms, wild fires, drought, desertification and soil erosion.
وأشار المشاركون إلى أنَّ مجالات التطبيق ذات الأولوية لنقل التكنولوجيات ذات الصلة بالفضاء هي مشاريع السواتل المكعبة والميكروية، والإدارة المتكاملة للمياه، وتدهور الأراضي، والتسرُّبات النفطية والتلوُّث بالبترول والغاز الطبيعي، والأخطار الطبيعية بما فيها الزلازل والانهيالات الأرضية والفيضانات والعواصف الرملية وحرائق الغابات والجفاف والتصحُّر وانجراف التربة.

(a) The successful transfer of space-related technologies and spin-offs from research and development institutions to industry required the availability of appropriate methods and infrastructures, as well as clearly defined government policies and support.
)أ( ان النجاح في نقل التكنولوجيات ذات الصلة بالفضاء والنواتج العرضية من مؤسسات البحث والتطوير الى الصناعة يتطلب وجود طرائق وبنيات أساسية ملائمة ، وكذلك سياسات ودعم حكوميين واضحي المعالم .

The participants noted that the following would be necessary for the greater operational use of space technologies in projects to promote sustainable development: (a) awareness of decision makers and programme managers of the usefulness of space technologies to support development projects; (b) funding dedicated to the use of space technologies; and (c) sufficient local capacity to use space-related technologies.
لاحظ المشاركون ضرورة ما يلي لزيادة نطاق الاستخدام العملي لتكنولوجيات الفضاء في المشاريع الهادفة الى تعزيز التنمية المستدامة: (أ) وعي متخذي القرارات ومنظمي البرامج بفائدة تكنولوجيات الفضاء لدعم المشاريع الانمائية؛ (ب) توفير تمويل مخصص لاستخدام تكنولوجيات الفضاء؛ (ج) وجود قدرة محلية كافية لاستخدام التكنولوجيات ذات الصلة بالفضاء.
