In all these operations, it recognizes the potential role and increasing cooperation with regional arrangements and organizations.
وفي جميع هذه العمليات، تعترف الدراسة بامكانية دور التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية وزيادة التعاون معها.

Thus, coordination is not a goal in itself, but only through coordination can the optimum use be made of the respective comparative advantages of the regional arrangements and organizations and of the United Nations, respectively.

The Security Council notes with appreciation the views of the Security Council, as presented in paragraphs 63, 64 and 65 of his report, concerning cooperation with regional arrangements and organizations.
ويلاحظ مجلس اﻷمن مع التقدير آراء اﻷمين العام، حسبما وردت في الفقرات ٦٣ و ٦٤ و ٦٥ من تقريره، بشأن التعاون مع التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية.

The Security Council therefore invites, within the framework of Chapter VIII of the United Nations Charter, regional arrangements and organizations to study, on a priority basis, the following:

Being aware of the variety of mandate, scope and composition of the regional arrangements and organizations, the Council stresses that the forms of interaction of these arrangements and organizations with the United Nations should be flexible and adequate to each specific situation.
وادراكا من المجلس للتنوع الموجود فيما بين التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية من حيث الولاية والنطاق والتكوين، فإنه يؤكد أن أشكال التفاعل فيما بين هذه التنظيمات والمنظمات من جهة واﻷمم المتحدة من جهة أخرى ينبغي أن تكون مرنة وملائمة لكل حالة على حدة.

- to submit as soon as possible and preferably by the end of April 1993 to the Security Council a report concerning the replies from the regional arrangements and organizations. "

8. Unlike some other regional arrangements and organizations, AALCC has not been involved with such activities as preventive diplomacy, peace-keeping, peacemaking and peace-building, it has however taken initiatives to promote a wider role of the International Court of Justice in the context of the peaceful settlement of disputes.
٨ - وخلافا لبعض التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية اﻷخرى، لم تشترك اللجنة الاستشارية القانونية اﻵسيوية الافريقية في أنشطة مثل الدبلوماسية الوقائية وحفظ السلم وصنع السلم وبناء السلم على أنها قامت بمبادرات لتعزيز قيام محكمة العدل الدولية بدور أكبر في سياق تسوية المنازعات بالوسائل السلمية.

3. As is evident in many areas of the world where actual or potential conflicts prevail, regional arrangements and organizations can render invaluable assistance to and effectively cooperate with the United Nations in the field of the maintenance of international peace and security, including peaceful settlement of disputes.
٣ - كما هو واضح في مناطق كثيرة من العالم، حيث تسود النزاعات الفعلية والمحتملة، من الممكن أن تقدم التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية مساعدة قﱢيمة الى اﻷمم المتحدة، وأن تتعاون معها، في مجال صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين، بما في ذلك تسوية المنازعات بالوسائل السلمية.

4. The European Community and its member States welcome the trend towards greater involvement of relevant regional arrangements and organizations in the maintenance of international peace and security and look forward to its continuation.
٤ - والجماعة اﻷوروبية ودولها اﻷعضاء ترحب بالاتجاه نحو زيادة مشاركة التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية ذات الصلة في صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين، وهي تتطلع الى أن يستمر ذلك الاتجاه.

5. The European Community and its member States recognize the need to coordinate the efforts of regional arrangements and organizations with those of

" وإذ تضع في اعتبارها اﻷهمية الكبيرة للدور الذي تضطلع به التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية والحاجة الملحة الى استخدام المنظمات الاقليمية في حل المشاكل الخطيرة التي تواجه التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية، وتنفيذ المهام الوقائية، وصون السلم وترسيخه وتعزيزه،

" Noting that the challenges to international peace and security at the new stage in international relations require recognition of the need to coordinate the efforts of regional arrangements and organizations with the efforts of the United Nations in the maintenance of international peace and security,
" وإذ تلاحظ أن التحديات التي تواجه السلم واﻷمن الدوليين في المرحلة الجديدة من العلاقات الدولية تقتضي الاعتراف بضرورة تنسيق جهود التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية مع جهود اﻷمم المتحدة في مجال صون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين،

Yet another proposal was to redraft the paragraph to read: " Considering the desirability of coordinating activities of regional arrangements and organizations with the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of international peace and security " .
وكان هناك أيضا اقتراح آخر بإعادة صياغة الفقرة على النحو التالي : " وإذ ترى استصواب تنسيق أنشطة التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية مع أنشطة اﻷمم المتحدة المتعلقة بصون السلم واﻷمن الدوليين " .

The suggestion was made to redraft the paragraph by replacing the phrase " regional arrangements and organizations should " with the phrase " regional arrangements and organizations are invited, in accordance with Chapter VIII " and by deleting the phrase " and also, where appropriate, peace-keeping " .
وقدم اقتراح بإعادة صياغة الفقرة بالاستعاضة عن عبارة " على التنظيمات والمنظمات الاقليمية " بعبارة " تُدعى المنظمات والوكالات الاقليمية وفقا للفصل الثامن " وبحذف عبارة " ثم حفظ السلم بحسب الاقتضاء " .
