The Plan of Implementation of the World Summit on Sustainable Development calls for the maintenance of the productivity and biodiversity of important and vulnerable ecosystems, the implementation of international instruments and programmes such as the Jakarta Mandate, the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, the International Coral Reef Initiative and the development and use of diverse approaches and tools.

إذ يشير إلى الفصل 34 من جدول أعمال القرن 21 بشأن نقل التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئياً والأحكام ذات الصلة في خطة التنفيذ التي اعتمدها مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية المستدامة المعقود في جوهانسبرغ في آب/أغسطس 2002،

إذ يشير إلى الفصل 34 من جدول أعمال القرن 21 بشأن نقل التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئياً، وإلى النصوص ذات الصلة في خطة التنفيذ التي اعتمدها مؤتمر القمة العالمي المعني بالتنمية المستدامة الذي عقد في جوهانسبرغ، بجنوب أفريقيا، في آب/أغسطس 2002،

Within UNIDO's existing mandate, this would include giving particular emphasis to relevant recommendations in the Plan of Implementation adopted by the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) and ensuring that planned activities in Africa take into account the priorities established by the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).
