72. In accordance with General Assembly resolutions 64/10 and 64/254, the international community had a responsibility to follow up the recommendations contained in the report of the United Nations Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict.

2. Also takes note of the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and requests the High Commissioner to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the report of the Fact-Finding Mission, in accordance with Human Rights Council resolution S-12/1;

We therefore believe that the Security Council should consider the recommendations of the report of the assessment mission, especially those identified as of immediate importance, at the national, regional and international levels, and thus contribute to strengthening the capacity of the United Nations system to assist countries of the Sahel region on security issues.
