In this connection, the Special Rapporteur is aware that the Government of Myanmar has responded to the allegations transmitted by the Special Rapporteur on Torture.

100. By the same letter, the Special Rapporteur reminded the Government of the cases he had transmitted in 1997 and concerning which he had received no reply.
