Mr. WENNERGREN said that it was not the Committee's responsibility to judge whether reservations entered by States parties were justified, necessary or superfluous; it merely had to say whether it considered those reservations to be compatible with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, and that if they were, it must accept them.
٠٦- السيد فينرغرين قال إنه يرى من جانبه أن ليس من واجب اللجنة أن تحكم على ما إذا كانت التحفظات التي تبديها الدول اﻷطراف مبررة أو غير مبررة، أو ضرورية أو غير مجدية، ولكنها يجب أن تكتفي باﻹشارة إلى ما إذا كانت ترى أن هذه التحفظات تتفق مع نصوص اتفاقية فيينا والعهد، وأنه يجب عليها في حالة اﻹيجاب أن تقبلها.
