203. The Committee reiterates its recommendation that the State party take further measures to promote and facilitate within the family, the school, care institutions and the courts respect for the views of children and their participation in all matters affecting them, in accordance with article 12 of the Convention.

469. In the light of article 12 of the Convention, the Committee recommends that the State party promote the right of children to express their views fully in all matters affecting them at school, within the family, in the courts and administrative bodies and in society in general.

105. Jordanian law currently contains no provisions granting a child the right to make his or her own decisions or express his or her views. However, a child may exercise his or her right of expression through the various media (see paragraphs 174-177). Furthermore, article 3(d) of the draft Children's Rights Act provides that children are free to express their views, and that they have a right to participate in all matters affecting them.
105- ولا توجد أية نصوص في التشريعات الحالية تعطي الطفل الحق في اتخاذ قراراته أو التعبير عن آرائه، إلا أن الطفل يمارس حق التعبير عبر وسائل الإعلام المختلفة (انظر الفقرات 174-177)، كما وقد نصت المادة 3(د) من مشروع قانون حقوق الطفل على حرية الطفل في التعبير عن الرأي، وحقه في المشاركة في جميع الأمور التي تخصه.

A child who has reached the age of 15 has the right to speak in child welfare matters concerning him/her personally and children who have reached the age of 12 shall be given an opportunity to be heard.
