2. In accordance with paragraph 1 of section II of General Assembly resolution 32/162, the 20 members are to be elected on the following basis:

The proposed language was based on paragraphs 2 and 3 of annex II to General Assembly resolution 51/242.

The regular budget contribution is used to defray expenses for carrying out tasks entrusted to the secretariat under section II, of General Assembly resolution 2997 (XXVII).

4. The appointment of the members of the Commission is governed by the provisions of articles 3, 4 and 5 of its statute. Pursuant to those provisions, and in accordance with paragraphs 3 and 4 of section II of General Assembly resolution 43/226 of 21 December 1988.

3. The Advisory Committee notes that, although the interim report was prepared with reference to section II of General Assembly resolution 60/283, it does not respond to requests contained therein.

5. Paragraph 12 of part II of General Assembly resolution 51/226 limited the period of continuous release of elected staff representatives to four years.
٥ - وقد قصرت الفقرة ١٢ من الجزء الثاني من قرار الجمعية العامة ٥١/٢٢٦ فترة التفرغ المتواصل لممثلي الموظفين المنتخبين على أربع سنوات.

In pursuance of section II of General Assembly resolution 39/236, parking privileges of any delegate whose parking fees are in arrears by more than three months will be suspended as of September 1999.
وعملا بأحكام الجزء الثاني من قرار الجمعية العامة ٣٩/٢٣٦، توقف اعتبارا من أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٩ امتيازات وقوف السيارات ﻷي عضــو من أعضاء الوفود يتأخر عن دفع أجور وقوفها أكثر من ثلاثة أشهر.

The sponsor delegation expressed its receptiveness to the drafting suggestions aimed at making the text more flexible and compatible with annex II of General Assembly resolution 51/242.
وأعرب الوفد المقدم للورقة عن قبوله لاقتراحات الصياغة بغية إضفاء مرونة أكبر على النص وجعله أكثر انسجاما مع المرفق الثاني من قرار الجمعية العامة 51/242.

(c) Education allowance. Ad litem judges should be entitled to education allowance in accordance with the provisions contained in section II of General Assembly resolution 53/209 of 18 December 1998;

Reference was made in this regard to paragraph 3 of annex II to General Assembly resolution 51/242.

54. The view was also expressed that the wording of the paragraph should be aligned with that of annex II to General Assembly resolution 51/242.
٥٤ - وأعرب أيضا عن رأي مفاده أن صياغة الفقرة يجب أن تنسجم مع لغة المرفق الثاني من قرار الجمعية العامة ٥١/٢٤٢.

64. With regard to paragraph 3, the view was expressed that it should be aligned with the terms of paragraph 2 of annex II to General Assembly resolution 51/242.
٦٤ - وفيما يتعلق بالفقرة ٣، رئي أنها ينبغي أن تكون متفقة مع أحكام الفقرة ٢ من المرفق الثاني من قرار الجمعية العامة ١٥/٢٤٢.
