كما شاركت في المؤتمر الحالي بصفة مراقب المنظمات والمعاهد التالية: جامعة الدول العربية ومنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي والاتحاد الأفريقي والمعهد الأفريقي لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين التابع للأمم المتحدة.

In that context, it commended the valuable efforts of the United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, the capacities of which should be further strengthened through provision of the necessary funding.

56. Requests the Secretary-General to keep the financial situation of the United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders under active review and to submit proposals for any necessary additional funding for the Institute;
٦٥ - تطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يبقي الحالة المالية للمعهد الافريقي لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين التابع لﻷمم المتحدة قيد استعراضه النشط، وأن يقدم مقترحات بشأن أي تمويل اضافي يتعين تقديمه لذلك المعهد؛

Strengthening Africa’s crime prevention and criminal justice systems would require a great deal of resources; however, the financial situation of the United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (UNAFRI) remained bleak and was affecting the services that it could deliver to members.
وبين أن تعزيز اﻷجهزة اﻷفريقية لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية يتطلب مقدارا كبيرا من الموارد؛ غير أن الحالة المالية للمعهد اﻷفريقي لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين التابع لﻷمم المتحدة لا تزال كالحة، وهي تؤثر في الخدمات التي يمكن أن يقدمها المعهد إلى أعضائه.
