At its sixty-sixth session, the General Assembly invited the Chair of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to present an oral report on the work of the Committee and engage in an interactive dialogue with the Assembly at its sixty-seventh and sixty-eighth sessions, under the item entitled " Promotion and protection of human rights " , as a way to enhance communication between the Assembly and the Committee (resolution 66/229).
وفي الدورة السادسة والستين، دعت الجمعية العامة رئيس اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة إلى تقديم تقرير شفوي عن أعمال اللجنة وإجراء حوار لتبادل الآراء مع الجمعية العامة في دورتيها السابعة والستين والثامنة والستين، في إطار البند المعنون " تعزيز حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها " ، باعتبار ذلك وسيلة لتعزيز التواصل بين الجمعية واللجنة (القرار 66/229).

The Commission will have before it the fifth report of the Executive Director on the subject, in accordance with the mandates set down by the Assembly and the Commission.
