In this connection, the Advisory Committee notes from paragraph 20 of the report that as at 31 December 1995, the special account established for the period prior to 16 June 1993 had a cash balance of approximately $200,000, whereas obligations in respect of reimbursement to troop contributors amount to some $200 million.

In that request, the Committee was informed that, in view of the decisions expected to be taken by the Security Council with regard to the extension of the mandate of UNPROFOR, the period from 1 April to 30 June 1995 should be considered as a transitional period and that the special account established for the Force should remain in effect.
