21. The Special Account for Programme Support contains the reimbursements of the costs for programme support and administrative services for the preparation and implementation of projects and other activities which are provided by the various units of UNIDO.

In accordance with United Nations financial rules and regulations, the Special Account for Programme Support is funded by charging a 13 per cent programme support fee on actual expenditures of activities funded by Special purpose contributions.
