V. AMISOM support to the Federal Government of Somalia

In the meantime, initial efforts to strengthen gender mainstreaming in the Mission's operations are being undertaken, including the establishment of a multidimensional gender working group at the level of the Mission, the airing of radio programmes designed to strengthen gender awareness and the establishment of an information-sharing mechanism with the Directorate of Women and Social Affairs in the Federal Government of Somalia.
