اعتباراً من انعقاد الدورة العامة السنوية للجنة في عام 2005، تقوم اللجنة، في الجلسة الأخيرة لدورتها العامة السنوية، بانتخاب أعضاء مكتبها الذين يتولون مهام مناصبهم منذ اليوم التالي لانتخابهم وحتى انتهاء اليوم الأخير للدورة العامة السنوية التالية، وهم: الرئيس ونائب الرئيس والمقرر.

(a) The annual plenary session of the Executive Committee shall be scheduled over a period of one week during October, and shall not commence earlier than at least ten days following the Standing Committee meeting preceding it;
(أ) تُعقد الدورة العامة السنوية للجنة التنفيذية خلال فترة أسبوع واحد أثناء شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، على ألا تبدأ قبل ما لا يقل عن عشرة أيام من انعقاد اجتماع اللجنة الدائمة السابق لها؛

" With effect from the annual plenary session of the Committee in 2005, the Committee shall, at the last meeting of its annual plenary session, elect the officers who will serve the Committee from the day immediately following their election to the end of the last day of the following annual plenary session: Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Rapporteur. " ;
" اعتبارا من انعقاد الدورة العامة السنوية للجنة في عام 2005، تقوم اللجنة، في الجلسة الأخيرة لدورتها العامة السنوية، بانتخاب أعضاء مكتبها الذين يتولون مهام مناصبهم منذ اليوم التالي لانتخابهم وحتى انتهاء اليوم الأخير للدورة العامة السنوية التالية، وهم: الرئيس ونائب الرئيس والمقرر " ؛

(c) As a transitional measure, the Bureau to be elected (according to current procedure) at the beginning of the fifty-fifth session shall serve until the end of the last day of the following annual plenary session;
(ج) كتدبير انتقالي، يتولى أعضاء المكتب المنتخَبون (وفقا للإجراء المعمول به حاليا) في بداية الدورة الخامسة والخمسين مهامَّ مناصبهم ويعملون حتى انتهاء اليوم الأخير من الدورة العامة السنوية التالية؛

9. Under Rule 10 of its Rules of Procedure, the Committee elected the following officers by acclamation, to serve the Committee from the day immediately following their election to the end of the last day of the following annual plenary session:
9 - انتخبت اللجنة بالتزكية، بموجب المادة 10 من نظامها الداخلي، أعضاء المكتب التالية أسماؤهم لكي يؤدوا مهامهم في اللجنة ابتداءً من اليوم الذي يلي مباشرة انتخابهم إلى نهاية آخر يوم من الدورة العامة السنوية التالية.

In 2002, representatives of ECLAC and ESCAP participated in the CES annual plenary session and, starting in 2003, a summary report of the planned future work of other regional committees of statistics is being prepared as background information for the plenary sessions of the Conference.

Recalling the decision taken at the forty-sixth session of the Executive Committee discontinuing the General Debate and replacing it with a debate on a focussed annual theme to be selected in consultation with the High Commissioner and the Standing Committee at a meeting held at least three months before the annual plenary session (A/AC.96/860, para. 32(h)),
إذ تشير إلى المقرر المتخذ في الدورة السادسة والأربعين للجنة التنفيذية بوقف المناقشة العامة والاستعاضة عنها بمناقشة حول موضوع سنوي مركّز يتم اختياره بالتشاور مع المفوضة السامية واللجنة الدائمة في اجتماع يُعقد قبل ثلاثة أشهر على الأقل من الدورة العامة السنوية (A/AC.96/860، الفقرة 32(ح))،

(iii) the annual document on Voluntary Repatriation will be discontinued; information on the various voluntary repatriations will be integrated as of 1997 into the new " country chapters " prepared for the regional reviews undertaken by the Standing Committee, or in the Overview document submitted to the annual plenary session of the Executive Committee.
