80. The World Health Organization/Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO/EMRO) has collaborated with the League of Arab States in the area of health through close cooperation between EMRO and the Council of Arab Ministers of Health.

The following is a summary of the activities, programmes and initiatives undertaken by the League of Arab States in the field of counter-terrorism from March to December 2004.
فيما يلي موجز بالأنشطة والبرامج والمبادرات التي اضطلعت بها جامعة الدول العربية في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب خلال الفترة من آذار/ مارس إلى كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2004.

2. More active cooperation between Arab States in the field of comparative sociological and family studies, with the development of uniform terminology as a means of facilitating joint field studies, exchanging data and analysing and addressing problems;
2- تعزيز التعاون بين الدول العربية في مجال إجراء الدراسات الاجتماعية والأسَرية المقارنة، واعتماد النظم الإحصائية الأساسية، وتوحيد مصطلحاتها من أجل تسهيل القيام بأبحاث ميدانية مشتركة، وتبادل المعلومات وتحليل المشكلات ومعالجتها.

The Pan-African Development Information System (PADIS) of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) cooperates with the League of Arab States in the field of information technology, including the Arabization of software, and has close relations with the Arab League Documentation and Information Centre (ALDOC).
٤١ - يتعاون نظام البلدان الافريقية للمعلومات الانمائية )باديس( مع جامعة الدول العربية في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات، بما في ذلك تعريب البرامج الحاسوبية، وله علاقات وثيقة مع مركز الجامعة العربية للتوثيق والمعلومات.

The efforts made by the League of Arab States in the area of counter-terrorism at the Arab level resulted in the signing on 22 April 1998, during a joint meeting of Arab ministers of justice and of the interior held in Cairo, of the Arab Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism, which entered into force on 7 May 1999 and to date has been ratified by 17 Arab States.
وقد توجت جهود الدول العربية في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب على الصعيد العربي بإبرام الاتفاقية العربية لمكافحة الإرهاب في 22 نيسان/أبريل 1998 في اجتماع مشترك لوزراء العدل والداخلية العرب بالقاهرة والتي دخلت حيز النفاذ في 7 أيار/مايو 1999 وصادقت عليها حتى الآن 17 دولة عربية.
