In this connection, upon enquiry, the Committee was informed that strengthening regional cooperation and coordination with States neighbouring Afghanistan in the north would particularly be important for receiving humanitarian assistance through new border crossings with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
وفي هذا الصدد، أُعلمت اللجنة بناء على استفسارها بأن تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق الإقليميين مع الدول المجاورة لأفغانستان في الشمال سيكون هاما بوجه خاص لتلقي المساعدة الإنسانية عبر نقاط حدود جديدة مع طاجيكستان وأوزبكستان.

75. Strengthened regional coordination arrangements and close cooperation with the States neighbouring Afghanistan also allowed agencies to significantly increase cross-border deliveries of humanitarian assistance.

Since the fight against drug trafficking is more effective and less costly along Afghan borders, the international community should support the efforts by the States neighbouring Afghanistan and those along the trafficking routes to curb the flow of illicit drugs.
وبما أن مكافحة المخدرات تكون أكثر فعالية وأقل كلفة على طول الحدود الأفغانية، ينبغي للمجتمع الدولي أن يدعم جهود الدول المجاورة لأفغانستان والدول الواقعة على الطرق المستخدمة في التهريب لكبح تدفق المخدرات غير المشروعة.

64. The Monitoring Team recommends that the Committee encourage the States neighbouring Afghanistan and all Member States wishing to invest in the extractive sector to strengthen the internal controls over their national companies and their national suppliers of explosive material, detonating cords and detonators.
64 - يوصي فرق الرصد بأن تشجع اللجنة الدول المجاورة لأفغانستان وجميع الدول الأعضاء الراغبة في الاستثمار في قطاع الصناعات الاستخراجية على تعزيز الضوابط الداخلية التي تفرضها على شركاتها الوطنية ومورديها الوطنيين في مجال المواد المتفجرة والمفجرات وأسلاك التفجير.

As it is also a proven fact that the fight against the traffic in drugs is more effective and less costly along the Afghan borders, the international community should support the efforts made by Afghanistan's neighbouring States along trafficking routes to curb the flow of illicit drugs.
ونظرا لأن من الحقائق المثبتة أيضا أن مكافحة الاتجار بالمخدرات أكثر فعالية وأقل تكلفة على طول الحدود الأفغانية، ينبغي للمجتمع الدولي أن يدعم الجهود التي تبذلها الدول المجاورة لأفغانستان على طول طرق التهريب لوقف تدفق المخدرات غير المشروعة.

Afghanistan's neighbouring States are affected by trafficking in opium, morphine and refined heroin, as well as by the diversion and smuggling of precursor chemicals, the operation of clandestine laboratories illicitly manufacturing drugs and the abuse of and addiction to opiates.
وتتضرّر الدول المجاورة لأفغانستان من أنشطة الاتجار بالأفيون والمورفين والهيروين المنقّى، وكذلك من تسريب السلائف الكيميائية وتهريبها ومن تشغيل المختبرات السرّية التي تصنع المخدرات بصورة غير مشروعة ومن تعاطي المواد الأفيونية وإدمانها.

The Ministers welcomed the regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan held in New Delhi from 18-19 November 2006, for the promotion of the regional economic cooperation among the countries of the region, including neighbours of Afghanistan.
241 - ورحب الوزراء بالمؤتمر الإقليمي للتعاون الاقتصادي حول أفغانستان الذي عُقد في نيودلهي يومي 18 و19 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2006 بهدف تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي الإقليمي بين بلدان المنطقة، بما فيها الدول المجاورة لأفغانستان.

Sufficient levels of engagement and cooperation from neighbouring States of Afghanistan would also be required to fulfil the objective of the programme.
