The Conference concluded that States have an obligation not only to respect but also to ensure respect for international humanitarian law and should do their utmost to encourage States and other parties to an armed conflict to comply with international humanitarian law.
وخلص المؤتمر إلى أن للدول واجبا لا باحترام القانون الإنساني الدولي فحسب، بل أيضا بضمان احترام الدول والأطراف الأخرى لهذا القانون وببذل كل ما في وسعها لتشجيع الدول وسائر الأطراف في نزاع مسلح على الامتثال لاحترام القانون الإنساني الدولي.

45. Calls upon all States and other parties concerned to continue to cooperate with the Special Representative, to implement the commitments they have undertaken, to consider carefully all the recommendations of the Special Representative and to address the issues identified, and welcomes the continued support and voluntary contributions that are being provided to the work of the Special Representative;
45- تطلب إلى جميع الدول وسائر الأطراف المعنية أن تواصل التعاون مع الممثل الخاص، وأن تفي بالالتزامات التي تعهدت بها، وأن تنظر بعناية في جميع توصيات الممثل الخاص، وأن تعالج القضايا المحددة، وترحب بما يقدَّم لعمل الممثل الخاص من دعم مستمر وتبرعات؛

(a) All States and other parties to armed conflict to respect fully international humanitarian law and, in this regard, calls upon States parties to respect fully the provisions of the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, and the Additional Protocols thereto of 8 June 1977;
(أ) جميع الدول وسائر الأطراف في النزاعات المسلحة أن تحترم القانون الإنساني الدولي احتراماً تاماً، ويناشد في هذا الصدد الدول الأطراف أن تحترم احتراماً تاماً أحكام اتفاقيات جنيف المبرمة في 12 آب/أغسطس 1949، والبروتوكولين الإضافيين الملحقين بها المؤرخين 8 حزيران/يونيه 1977؛

17. In paragraphs 12 and 14 of resolution 1998/76, the Commission on Human Rights, inter alia, called upon all States and other parties to armed conflict to end the use of children as soldiers and to ensure their demobilization, and decided to encourage the Chairman of the working group to conduct broad informal consultations with the aim of promoting an early agreement on the optional protocol and to produce a report thereon.
17- وفي الفقرتين 12 و14 من القرار 1998/76، طلبت لجنة حقوق الإنسان من جميع الدول وسائر الأطراف في النزاعات المسلحة جملة أمور منها وضع حد لاستخدام الأطفال كجنود وكفالة تسريحهم، وقررت أن تشجع رئيس الفريق العامل على إجراء مشاورات غير رسمية واسعة بهدف تعزيز التوصل إلى اتفاق مبكر بشأن البروتوكول الاختياري وإصدار تقرير عن ذلك.

10. Urges States and all other parties to armed conflict to adopt all necessary measures to end the use of children as soldiers and to ensure their demobilization and effective disarmament;
