Mr. Kelapile (Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions), introducing the related report of the Advisory Committee (A/66/806), said that the Advisory Committee recognized the importance of the General Assembly being able to avail itself of the independent opinion of the Board of Auditors, whose role was fundamentally different from that of internal auditor.
