156- وعلى ضوء ذلك القرار، ووفقا للمادة 16 من النظام الداخلي للجان الفنية التابعة للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، عقدت اللجنة، فور اختتام دورتها الثامنة والأربعين المستأنفة، في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2005، الجلسة الأولى لدورتها التاسعة والأربعين لغرض وحيد هو انتخاب الرئيس الجديد وسائر أعضاء المكتب الجدد.

In the light of that decision and in accordance with rule 16 of the rules of procedure of the functional commissions of the Economic and Social Council, the Commission, immediately following the closure of its forty-seventh session, in March 2004, held the first meeting of its forty-eighth session for the sole purpose of electing the new Chairman and other members of the bureau.
138- وعلى ضوء ذلك القرار، ووفقا للمادة 16 من النظام الداخلي للجان الفنية التابعة للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، عقدت اللجنة، فور اختتام دورتها السابعة والأربعين، في آذار/مارس 2004، الجلسة الأولى لدورتها الثامنة والأربعين لغرض وحيد هو انتخاب الرئيس الجديد وسائر أعضاء المكتب الجدد.

C. Election of officers 3. In paragraph (c) of its decision 2002/210 of 13 February 2002, the Economic and Social Council decided that the Commission for Social Development, immediately following the closure of a regular session, would hold the first meeting of its subsequent regular session for the sole purpose of electing the new Chairman and other members of the Bureau.
