In accordance with the omnibus decisions, the Executive Director appoints an Executive Secretary, who will be the joint head of the Secretariats of the Basel, Stockholm Conventions and of the UNEP-part of the Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention.

(ب) طلبت إلى المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج البيئة أن يشرع فوراً، بعد التشاور مع مكاتب اتفاقيات بازل وروتردام واستكهولم، في تعيين رئيس مشترك ليعمل لمدة سنتين، مشيرة إلى أن استمرار الرئيس المشترك في وظيفته سيخضع للمراجعة في سياق ترتيبات المراجعة الواردة في الفرع سادساً من المقررات الجامعة؛

(e) Invited parties to consider the proposal referred to in the preceding subparagraph for possible adoption by the conferences of the parties as soon as possible, but not later than 2013, taking into account the effectiveness of the joint head in:
(ﻫ) دعت الأطراف إلى النظر في الاقتراح المشار إليه في الفقرة السابقة توخياً لاعتماده من جانب مؤتمرات الأطراف في أقرب وقت ممكن، ولكن في موعد لا يتجاوز عام 2013، مع إيلاء الاعتبار لمدى فعالية الرئيس المشترك فيما يلي:

11. Decides to consider the matter of a joint head of the secretariats of the Stockholm and Rotterdam conventions further at its third meeting in the light of the study and the reports referred to in decision RC-2/6;
