In accordance with chapter V, paragraph 4, of the report of the Statistical Commission on its forty-fourth session, the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit the final report of the Friends of the Chair on the coordination of statistical activities in the United Nations system, which is submitted to the Commission for discussion and decision.

6. In December 2009, the second Friends of the Chair on integrated economic statistics group met in Washington, D.C., to formally discuss the draft chapters submitted by members for group review.
