1. The Friends of the Chair on integrated economic statistics was created in 2009 in accordance with a request made by the Statistical Commission at its thirtyninth session.

In accordance with a request of the Statistical Commission at its forty-first session (see E/2010/24, chap.I.A), the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit the report of the Friends of the Chair on integrated economic statistics.

27. At its 6th meeting, on 1 March, the Commission took note of the note by the Secretary-General transmitting the report of the Friends of the Chair on integrated economic statistics (E/CN.3/2013/27) (see chap. I, sect. C, decision 44/116).

(l) Noted the finalization of the draft guidelines on integrated economic statistics by the Friends of the Chair on integrated economic statistics, welcomed the issue of the white cover version for circulation to member countries and recognized that it provides a strong basis for the development of basic economic statistics in an integrated manner to facilitate the implementation of the 2008 SNA and supporting economic statistics;
(ل) أحاطت علماً بقيام فريق أصدقاء الرئيس المعني بالإحصاءات الاقتصادية المتكاملة بإنجاز مشروع المبادئ التوجيهية للإحصاءات الاقتصادية المتكاملة، ورحبت بإصدار النسخة غير المحرَّرة لتعميمها على الدول الأعضاء، واعترفت بأنها توفر أساسا صلبا لتطوير الإحصاءات الاقتصادية الأساسية بصورة متكاملة من أجل تيسير تنفيذ نظام الحسابات القومية لعام 2008 والإحصاءات الاقتصادية الداعمة؛
