The Group also commended JIU on the efforts to improve its working methods, harmonize its practices with the standards of the United Nations Evaluation Group and coordinate with other oversight bodies, particularly as the Unit was the sole independent external oversight body of the United Nations system mandated to conduct evaluations, inspections and investigations.
