The Ministers recognised that slavery and trafficking in persons continues to pose a serious challenge to humanity and requires a concerted international response.

The Committee is also extremely concerned that some forms of slavery and trafficking persist and affect mainly indigenous children.

At the 11th meeting, on 10 October, the representative of Belarus, on behalf of Belarus, Nigeria, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Viet Nam, introduced a draft resolution entitled " Improving the coordination of efforts against slavery and trafficking in persons " (A/C.3/61/L.7).

Furthermore, important Government Resolutions adopted these National Plans and decided upon the establishment of a shelter and apartments for victims of slavery and trafficking for slavery and forced labor.
