45. In conclusion, he recalled that the Pacific Region seminar had recognized that visiting United Nations missions to the territories were the key to the process of decolonisation.

In the Special Committee's view, the visiting missions sent by the United Nations to the Territories were the best means of obtaining first-hand information on the conditions and problems confronting the people. The administering Powers' participation and cooperation in the work of the Committee facilitated the Fourth Committee's consideration for those questions, and the Special Committee urged them to be more forthcoming in that endeavour.
وترى اللجنة الخاصة أن البعثات الزائرة التي توفدها اﻷمم المتحدة إلى اﻹقليم أفضل وسيلة للحصول على المعلومات اللازمة مباشرة عن حالة سكان هذه اﻷقاليم، والمشاكل التي يواجهونها، وإن مشاركة الدول القائمة باﻹدارة وتعاونها في عمل اللجنة الخاصة تيسر مهمة اللجنة الرابعة في دراسة هذه المشاكل، ولذا تحث اللجنة الرابعة هذه الدول على الاستمرار في تقديم هذه المساعدة.
