In simple frauds there is often a direct link between losses and proceeds, but in the case of some complex fraud schemes, corporate frauds and pyramid or " Ponzi " schemes, the indirect losses and non-monetary damages can far exceed any proceeds realized by offenders or recovered by authorities or victims.

Russian enterprises are dominant players in several CIS countries (Zashev, 2004; Heinrich, 2003; Pelto et al. 2003, Liuhto 2001, 2002), whereas in the developed countries they often have smaller market shares and leverage on their product and corporate strengths (Vahtra and Lorentz, 2004).

The truth is that Greece needs more than just debt restructuring or even debt relief. But, in reading these works, I do not find a clear or persuasive statement of any economic doctrine, except for basic notions of fairness and Christian charity.
