Recalling its decision 2004/116 of 20 April 2004 on the responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights,

The report considers the scope and legal status of existing initiatives and standards on the responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights as well as outstanding issues that require further consideration by the Commission.
وينظر التقرير في النطاق والوضع القانوني للمبادرات والمعايير الحالية المتعلقة بمسؤولية الشركات عبر الوطنية ومؤسسات الأعمال المرتبطة بها في مجال حقوق الإنسان كما يتناول القضايا المعلقة التي تقتضي من اللجنة المزيد من النظر.

(a) Existing initiatives and standards relating to the responsibility of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights;
(أ) المبادرات والمقاييس القائمة المتصلة بمسؤولية الشركات عبر الوطنية ومؤسسات الأعمال المرتبطة بها في مجال حقوق الإنسان؛

(a) Confirms the importance and priority it accords to the question of the responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights;
(أ) يؤكد ما يوليه من أهمية وأولوية لمسألة مسؤوليات الشركات عبر الوطنية ومؤسسات الأعمال المرتبطة بها في مجال حقوق الإنسان؛

(a) Confirmed the importance and priority it accords to the question of the responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights;

In relation to Commission decision 2004/116, Ms. Chung indicated that OHCHR had invited the working group experts to a briefing on 28 July 2004 concerning the report that it was compiling in relation to the human rights responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises.
وأشارت، فيما يتعلق بمقرر اللجنة 2004/116، إلى أن المفوضية دعت خبراء الفريق العامل إلى حضور جلسة إعلامية يوم 28 تموز/يوليه 2004 بخصوص التقرير الذي تعده المفوضية عن مسؤوليات الشركات عبر الوطنية ومؤسسات الأعمال المرتبطة بها في مجال حقوق الإنسان.

For that reason, the Commission had decided to refine the categories of businesses by referring to " transnational corporations and related business enterprises " .

6. The present report refers to the term " Responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights " by the short hand term " business and human rights " .
6- ويشير هذا التقرير إلى مصطلح " مسؤوليات الشركات عبر الوطنية ومؤسسات الأعمال المرتبطة بها في مجال حقوق الإنسان " بالمصطلح المختصر " الأعمال التجارية وحقوق الإنسان " .

26. With this in mind, the following section identifies " outstanding issues " in order to assist the Commission in identifying " options for strengthening standards on the responsibilities of transnational corporations and related business enterprises with regard to human rights and possible means of implementation " , as stipulated by decision 2004/116.
26- ومراعاة لما سبق، يحدد هذا الباب " القضايا المعلقة " قصد مساعدة اللجنة في حصر " الخيارات المتاحة لتعزيز المقاييس المتعلقة بمسؤولية الشركات عبر الوطنية ومؤسسات الأعمال المرتبطة بها في مجال حقوق الإنسان وسبل التنفيذ الممكنة " ، على نحو ما نص عليه المقرر 2004/116.
