77- فيما يتصل بمنع تجنيد الأطفال فقد نص قانون قوات الشعب المسلحة 2007 على منع تجنيد من هم دون الثامنة عشر، أيضاً تم تصميم برنامج لنزع السلاح والتسريح وإعادة الدمج يهدف إلى إبعاد الأطفال من القوات أو الجماعات المسلحة ولم شملهم بأسرهم والمساعدة على إعادة دمجهم في مجتمعهم والبرنامج يشمل كل الأشخاص أقل من 18 عام ذكور وإناث في كل القوات والمجموعات المسلحة.

29. Key governmental departments and bodies responsible for implementation and follow-up of the Optional Protocol include the General Command of the People's Armed Forces (Ministry of Defence), the Department of National Service, the Northern Sudan DDR Commission, the Ministry of the Interior, the Violence Against Women Unit (Ministry of Justice), the National Committee on International Humanitarian Law and the National Mine Action Centre.
