During International Polar Year, 2007-2008, Russia implemented a variety of scientific research projects, including some having to do with the impact of climate change on the indigenous peoples of the North.

توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف باتخاذ تدابير لضمان ألا تؤثر إعادة التنظيم الإداري لأقاليمها بشكل سلبي في مستوى المساعدة المقدمة في إطار الرعاية الصحية، إلى الشعوب الأصلية في الشمال وسيبيريا والشرق الأقصى، وفقا لبرنامج الضمانات التي تقدمها الدولة لتوفير الرعاية الطبية المجانية لمواطني الاتحاد الروسي.
