The legislative branch has a special commission for receiving, monitoring and following-up complaints relating to acts of torture, ill-treatment or cruel punishment.

(21) ينبغي للدولة الطرف أن تُضَمِّن تقريرها الدوري القادم بيانات إحصائية مفصلة ومصنفة بحسب الجريمة والعرق ونوع الجنس، عن الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التعذيب وسوء المعاملة التي يُدعّى بأن الموظفين المكلفين بإنفاذ القانون قد ارتكبوها، وما يتصل بها من تحقيقات ومحاكمات وتدابير جزائية وتأديبية.

The Ombudsman and Human Rights Office is the competent authority for the consideration of complaints relating to torture and ill-treatment. Working with other regulators, it seeks to ensure the correct outcome for all complaints. Acts of torture or ill-treatment are investigated by the prosecutors in various directorates and in reform and rehabilitation centres.
ويعد مكتب المظالم وحقوق الإنسان الجهة المختصة بالنظر في الشكاوى المتعلقة بالتعذيب أو سوء المعاملة إضافة إلى الجهات الرقابية الأخرى، حيث يتم التحقيق في الشكاوى حسب القانون بواسطة المدعين العامين في المكتب واتخاذ القرارات المناسبة إزاء كل شكوى، ويختص المكتب أيضا بالنظر في الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التعذيب أو سوء المعاملة والتي يحقق فيها المدعون العامون في المديريات ومراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل.

338. In connection with article 6 of the Convention, members of the Committee wished to receive information in the State party's next periodic report on the number of complaints of acts of racism and racial discrimination that had resulted in court action and of any sentences applied by the courts in such cases.
٣٣٨ - وفيما يتصل بالمادة ٦ من الاتفاقية، أبدى أعضاء اللجنة رغبتهم في تلقي معلومات في التقرير الدوري القادم للدولة الطرف بشأن عدد الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال العنصرية والتمييز العنصري التي أسفرت عن اتخاذ اجراءات من المحاكم أو أية أحكام وقعتها المحاكم في هذه الحالات.

9. The Committee is concerned about the lack of information on complaints about acts of racial discrimination lodged with courts and other relevant authorities, despite persistent reports of de facto discrimination against members of certain minority groups.
9- وتشعر اللجنة بالقلق إزاء قلة المعلومات عن الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التمييز العنصري التي رُفعت إلى المحاكم وغيرها من السلطات المعنية، على الرغم من التقارير التي ترد باستمرار بشأن التمييز الفعلي ضد أفراد مجموعات معينة من الأقليات.

a) ensure prompt and impartial investigation of complaints concerning actions of law enforcement officials, and make public the results of such investigations, including with respect to the 2006 disturbance at Tbilisi prison No.5;
(أ) أن تكفل التحقيق الفوري والنزيه في الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال موظفي إنفاذ القوانين وأن تعمم نتائج هذه التحقيقات، ويشمل ذلك ما يتعلق بالتمرد الذي حصل عام 2006 في سجن تبيليسي رقم 5؛

In its written replies, the State party had mentioned the existence within the Centre for Equal Opportunities and Action to Combat Racism of a watchdog unit responsible for collecting, analysing and investigating all complaints related to acts of anti-Semitism.
وأشارت الدولة الطرف، في ردودها الخطية إلى وجود " وحدة مراقبة " في إطار مركز تكافؤ الفرص ومكافحة العنصرية، مكلفة بتلقي جميع الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال معاداة السامية وتحليلها ومتابعتها.

49. The Committee requests that the State party provide in its next periodic report detailed statistical data, disaggregated by crime, ethnicity and gender, on complaints relating to torture and ill-treatment allegedly committed by law enforcement officials and on the related investigations, prosecutions, and penal and disciplinary sentences. Information is further requested on any compensation and rehabilitation provided to the victims.
49- وتطلب اللجنة من الدولة الطرف أن تقدّم في تقريرها الدوري القادم بيانات إحصائية مفصّلة مصنفة حسب الجريمة والعرق والجنس، عن الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التعذيب وسوء المعاملة المرتكبة على أيدي موظفي إنفاذ القانون، وعن التحقيقات والملاحقات والعقوبات التأديبية والقانونية ذات الصلة، إلى جانب معلومات عن أي تعويض أو إعادة تأهيل للضحايا.

وتطلب اللجنة إلى الدولة الطرف أن تضمّن تقريرها الدوري المقبل بيانات إحصائية مفصلة ومصنفة، حسب الجريمة والأصل العرقي ونوع الجنس، عن الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التعذيب وسوء المعاملة التي يعزى ارتكابها إلى موظفين من قوات الأمن، وكذلك عن التحقيقات التي أمكن فتحها، والمحاكمات التي تم إجراؤها، والأحكام والعقوبات التأديبية التي صدرت في كل قضية.

19. As the lead entity on matters relating to discrimination against women, the MIMP receives and responds to complaints about acts of discrimination through the various programmes it runs for citizens.
19 - وتتلقى وزارة شؤون المرأة والسكان الضعفاء، باعتبارها الكيان الرائد المعني بالمسائل المتعلقة بالتمييز ضد المرأة، الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التمييز وترد عليها، عن طريق برامج شتى تديرها لخدمة المواطنين.

(9) The Committee is concerned about the lack of information on complaints about acts of racial discrimination lodged with courts and other relevant authorities, despite persistent reports of de facto discrimination against members of certain minority groups.
(9) وتشعر اللجنة بالقلق إزاء قلة المعلومات عن الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال التمييز العنصري التي رُفعت إلى المحاكم وغيرها من السلطات المعنية، على الرغم من التقارير التي ترد باستمرار بشأن التمييز الفعلي ضد أفراد مجموعات معينة من الأقليات.

(a) Ensure prompt and impartial investigation of complaints concerning actions of law enforcement officials, and make public the results of such investigations, including with respect to the 2006 disturbance at Tbilisi prison No. 5;

15. Regarding ill-treatment in detention, HR Committee recommended that Tanzania establish a special mechanism, completely independent from the police force and other Government bodies, for the investigation of complaints concerning actions of law enforcement officials.
15- وفيما يتعلق بسوء المعاملة أثناء الاحتجاز، أوصت اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان تنزانيا بأن تنشئ آلية خاصة، مستقلة استقلالاً تاماً عن قوات الشرطة وغيرها من الأجهزة الحكومية، لتقوم بالتحقيق في الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال المسؤولين عن إنفاذ القوانين(29).

20. The Committee welcomes the statement by the delegation that the State party is undertaking a reform of the judicial system, which includes providing legal assistance; prosecuting and punishing perpetrators of acts of violence against women; and providing specific means to address complaints related to post-electoral violence.
20- ترحب اللجنة بالبيان الذي أدلى به الوفد والذي مفاده أن الدولة الطرف شرعت في إصلاح النظام القضائي، يشمل توفير المساعدة القضائية وملاحقة مرتكبي أعمال العنف ضد المرأة ومعاقبتهم وإتاحة سبل محددة لدراسة الشكاوى المتعلقة بأعمال العنف التي أعقبت الانتخابات.
