376. In spite of the recent establishment within the Ministry of Justice of a unit dealing with human rights issues, including a mechanism for the consideration of individual complaints, the Committee expresses concern that there is insufficient awareness of this mechanism and how it can be used to register and address complaints from children concerning violations of their rights.
376- ومع أنه قد أُنشئت مؤخرا داخل وزارة العدل وحدة تُعنى بقضايا حقوق الإنسان وتشمل آلية للنظر في الشكاوى الفردية، فإن اللجنة تعرب عن قلقها لعدم وجود وعي كاف بوجود هذه الآلية وكيفية استخدامها لتسجيل ومعالجة الشكاوى الواردة من الأطفال بشأن انتهاك حقوقهم.

It should monitor the implementation of the Convention, deal with complaints from children in a child-sensitive and expeditious manner and provide remedies for violations of their rights under the Convention, in accordance with the Committee's General Comment No. 2 (2002) on national human rights institutions.

(d) Investigate and prosecute all cases of ill-treatment committed by law enforcement officers, particularly prison guards, and establish an independent, accessible mechanism for receiving and dealing with complaints from children, which takes account of children's sensibilities; and
(د) التحقيق والمحاكمة في جميع قضايا سوء المعاملة التي يرتكبها الموظفون المكلفون بإنفاذ القانون، وبخاصة حراس السجون، وإنشاء آلية مستقلة تراعي حساسية ظروف الأطفال ويسهل عليهم الوصول إليها، وتكون مكلفة بتلقي الشكاوى الواردة من الأطفال وبمتابعتها؛
