٣ - تشجع جميع الدول ومنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وجميع العناصر الفاعلة اﻷخرى، في تطلﱡعها إلى جعل المجتمع في المستقبل لكل اﻷعمار، على أن تستغل السنة الدولية لكبار السن في زيادة الوعي بالتحدي الذي تمثله الشيخوخة الديمغرافية للمجتمعات، والاحتياجات الفردية والاجتماعية لكبار السن، ومساهمات كبار السن في المجتمع، والحاجة إلى تغيير المواقف المتخذة تجاه كبار السن؛
