وفي هذا الصدد، أصبح ضروريا الإسراع بتشكيل اللجنة الرفيعة المستوى المقترح إنشاؤها لتتولى تحديد استراتيجية أنشطة الصندوق العالمي للتضامن وتعبئة ما يحتاجه من موارد.

He also welcomed the measures under way in connection with the operation and strategy of the World Solidarity Fund, which would help to finance projects designed to eradicate poverty.

I should like to take this opportunity to reiterate our call for intensified efforts to operationalize the World Solidarity Fund, endorsed by the General Assembly in 2002 (resolution 57/265) on the initiative of Tunisia as a mechanism to address the issues of poverty and privation in the world and to reduce disparities among peoples.

38 bis. We reiterate our resolve to operationalize the World Solidarity Fund established by the General Assembly and invite those countries in a position to do so to make voluntary contributions to the Fund.
38 مكررا - ونكرّر تأكيد عزمنا على تفعيل الصندوق العالمي للتضامن الذي أنشأته الجمعية العامة، وندعو البلدان التي بمقدورها تقديم تبرعات إلى هذا الصندوق إلى القيام بذلك.

8. Invites developing countries, as soon as resources are made available to the Fund, to identify indicative projects to be submitted for financing by the World Solidarity Fund and requests the United Nations Development Programme to cooperate with national authorities in this regard;

9. Requests the Secretary-General to request the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme to submit a progress report on the operationalization of the World Solidarity Fund to the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session in 2004.
