The General Assembly also stressed the need for encouraging better coordination in the field of energy within the United Nations system, and agreed that, inter alia, the work of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources for Development should be more compatible and supportive of the work of the Commission on Sustainable Development.

(أ) تؤثر الحكومات الوطنية تأثيرا قويا على كمية ومصادر الطاقة داخل قطر ما، عن طريق السياسات الوطنية للطاقة، وتشغيل مرافق كهربائية مركزية أو وطنية، وعن طريق السياسات الضريبية والإعانات المالية لمصادر طاقة معينة؛

9.2 Establishment of a task force on energy within the United Nations system, inter alia, to improve the coordination and cooperation on energy activities within the United Nations system, based on the experiences of the informal Ad Hoc Inter-Agency Group on Energy and the Ad Hoc Inter-Agency Task Force on Energy.

وأعد اﻷمين العام أيضا تقريرا عن إمكانات تعزيز التنسيق بين منظمات وهيئات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في ميدان الطاقة داخل إطار لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية (A/52/175-E/1997/75) لكي ينظر فيه المجلس والجمعية العامة عملا بالطلب المنوه إليه من قبل المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.

7. At its nineteenth special session, the General Assembly stressed the need for encouraging better coordination on the issue of energy within the United Nations system and agreed, inter alia, that the work of the Committee should be more compatible with and supportive of the work of the Commission on Sustainable Development (see A/S-19/29, para. 135).
