3. The primary responsibility for the security and protection of personnel employed by organizations of the United Nations system, their eligible dependants and property and of the agency's property, rests with the host government.

(h) Have a " duty of care " to ensure that personnel employed by organizations of the United Nations system and their eligible dependants are not exposed to exceptional risk;

(g) Ensuring that all persons employed by organizations of the United Nations system and eligible dependants of the agency are provided with security training and briefings;

(a) Functioning as a channel of communication between the designated official and personnel employed by organizations of the United Nations system and their eligible dependants in his/her zone;

(f) Keep the designated official systematically informed regarding incidents or developments in their area of responsibility that have a bearing on the security and safety of personnel employed by organizations of the United Nations system and their recognized dependants;
(و) إطلاع المسؤول المكلف بانتظام بالأحداث أو التطورات في المنطقة التي يتولى مسؤوليتها التي لها تأثير على أمن وسلامة الأفراد العاملين لدى مؤسسات منظومة الأمم المتحدة ومُعاليهم المستحقين؛

(d) Have an obligation to advocate in all available forums to ensure that Member States provide for the safety and security of all personnel employed by organizations of the United Nations system and their eligible dependants and that crimes against such personnel will not be tolerated and the perpetrators brought to justice;
(د) الالتزام بواجب الدعوة في جميع المحافل المتاحة لضمان تكفل الدول الأعضاء بما يلزم لتوفير السلامة والأمن لجميع الأفراد العاملين لدى مؤسسات منظومة الأمم المتحدة ومُعاليهم المستحقين، وعدم التسامح مع الجرائم التي ترتكب ضد هؤلاء الأفراد وتقديم مرتكبيها إلى العدالة؛

(c) Keeping the Secretary-General informed, through the United Nations Security Coordinator, of all developments in the country that might have a bearing on the security and protection of the personnel employed by organizations of the United Nations system and their eligible dependants and their property, or that of the organizations.
(ج) إبقاء الأمين العام على علم، عن طريق منسق شؤون الأمن في الأمم المتحدة، بجميع التطورات التي تجد في البلد وتكون ذات علاقة بأمن وحماية الأفراد العاملين لدى مؤسسات منظومة الأمم المتحدة ومعاليهم المستحقين وممتلكاتهم، أو ممتلكات المؤسسات.

(i) Ensuring that all persons employed by organizations of the United Nations system are appropriately equipped with required safety and security equipment as specified in the MOSS and trained in its use;
