A member cannot enjoy the temporary total disability benefit and sick leave pay simultaneously.

In cases of total incapacity the compensation is equal to four years' earnings.

If the injury is not specified in the First Schedule the compensation would be a percentage of the amount payable in the case of permanent total incapacity.

In cases of partial permanent incapacity the pension paid will be a percentage of that payable in respect of permanent total incapacity.

The Employees' Compensation Ordinance provides that employees receiving injuries arising from and in the course of employment are entitled to claim compensation of up to HK$ 1.44 million for permanent total incapacity or HK$ 1.26 million for death.
