In this overall framework, in the immediate future, special emphasis will be placed on preventing and addressing violence against children in two particular settings: education and the administration of justice.

46. Member States are encouraged to ensure that there is a clear and sustained commitment and obligation at all levels of justice institutions to prevent and address violence against children, including in a child- and gender-sensitive manner.

The Special Representative launched on this occasion the publication Political Commitments by Regional Organizations and Institutions to prevent and address violence against children, containing the most significant political declarations and strategies adopted across regions to protect children from all forms of violence.
وقد أطلقت الممثلة الخاصة في هذه المناسبة المنشور المعنون الالتزامات السياسية للمنظمات والمؤسسات الإقليمية بمنع العنف ضد الأطفال والتصدي له، وهو يتضمن أبرز الإعلانات والاستراتيجيات السياسية التي اعتمدت في الأقاليم لحماية الأطفال من جميع أشكال العنف.

In collaboration with the Special Representative, four regional studies were issued with key findings from this process, and the Special Representative issued a publication with the most significant political commitments adopted by regional organizations and institutions to prevent and address violence against children.

CRC recommended that Malta develop a comprehensive national strategy to prevent and address violence against children and address the gender dimension of violence.
23- وأوصت لجنة حقوق الطفل مالطة بوضع استراتيجية وطنية شاملة لمنع جميع أشكال العنف ضد الأطفال والتصدي لها، والتصدي للبعد الجنساني لظاهرة العنف(59).

39. As this joint statement highlights, " the post-2015 framework is a renewed opportunity to ensure that children's rights are front and centre in the global development agenda to effectively prevent and address violence against children and fight impunity for crimes committed against them " .

To advance progress in the follow-up to the Study and identify positive experiences and strategic recommendations to assist States in their efforts to prevent and address violence against children, the Special Representative has placed a special emphasis on the organization of expert consultations and the publication of thematic studies on priority areas of concern.

59. As noted in previous reports, preventing and addressing violence against children in the administration of justice constitutes a priority concern for the Special Representative.
