17. The working group agreed with the proposal of its Chairperson-Rapporteur for the establishment of an informal " Group of friends of the Chair " to meet during the intersessional period in order to facilitate the work of the working group at its second session.

The Committee therefore supports the recommendation adopted by the working group at its second session, related to " the establishment of educational plans or guidelines to promote tolerance, cultural interaction, respect for cultural diversity and human rights guaranteed at the international level " (ibid., recommendation 2).

At its third meeting, on 28 May 2008, the working group agreed with the proposal of its Chairperson-Rapporteur for the establishment of an informal " Group of friends of the Chair " to meet during the intersessional period in order to facilitate the work of the working group at its second session (see also paragraph 7 above).
12- ووافق الفريق العامل، في جلسته الثالثة التي عُقدت في 28 أيار/مايو 2008، على اقتراح رئيسه - مقرره الداعي إلى إنشاء فريق غير رسمي من " أصدقاء الرئيس " لكي يجتمع خلال الفترة الفاصلة بين الدورتين من أجل تيسير عمل الفريق العامل في دورته الثانية (انظر أيضاً الفقرة 7 أعلاه).

15. At the 156th meeting, on 9 November 1993, Mr. Sørensen, who had been designated by the Committee as its observer in the inter-sessional open-ended working group of the Commission on Human Rights elaborating the protocol, informed the Committee on the progress made by the working group at its second session held at the United Nations Office at Geneva from 25 October to 5 November 1993.
