Seibersdorf, together with Joanneum Research (JR) in Graz and RKK ENERGIYA/Kaliningrad is developing the space-qualified ion microprobe MIGMAS which will be installed 1997 as permanent equipment on the Russian Space station MIR: Onboard of MIR it will form the centre of a materials analytical laboratory for investigation of space exposure effect on materials.

On 26 April 1996 the crew of the 21st principal expedition received the Priroda module, on which 936 kg of scientific equipment was installed for the use of the United States astronaut-research scientists on board the Mir station, together with Russian instrumentation for the experiments conducted on behalf of the Russian Space Agency (RSA), and also ESA scientific instrumentation.

١٢ - تقوم شبكة المراقبة الفضائية التابعة للولايات المتحدة (SSN) ونظام المراقبة الفضائية الروسي برصد بيئة المدار اﻷرضي المنخفض تحسبا لانذار " مكوك الفضاء " اﻷمريكي ومحطة " مير " الفضائية الروسية في حال وجود جسم متوقع اقترابه ضمن مسافة بضعة كيلومترات .

In several fields of space science and application, we have prepared proposals and submitted them to ESA, NASA, the Central European Initiative (CEI), RSA, ISRO, and so on, in order to find possible ways to work together in the future.
