At its 7th meeting, on 3 May, the Council adopted draft decision II, entitled " Expansion of the participation of non-governmental organizations on the Roster for the purposes of the work of the Commission on Sustainable Development " , recommended by the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations (E/1999/109/Add.2 (Part I), chap. Concern was also expressed by Committee members that the Secretariat did not have any file or documents proving the existence and activities of non-governmental organizations on the Roster for the purpose of the work of the Commission on Sustainable Development, except for a simple form showing the name of these organizations and their contact numbers.
وأعرب أعضاء اللجنة أيضا عن قلقهم إزاء عدم وجود أي ملف أو وثيقة لدى الأمانة العامة تثبت حقيقة وجود وأنشطة المنظمات غير الحكومية المدرجة في القائمة لأغراض عمل لجنة التنمية المستدامة، باستثناء نموذج بسيط يُبين اسم هذه المنظمات وأرقام الاتصال بها.

49. Owing to the time constraints of its 2000 regular session, the Committee did not consider item 5 of its agenda on applications from non-governmental organizations on the Roster for the purpose of the work of the Commission on Sustainable Development wishing to expand their participation in other fields of the Economic and Social Council.
49 - نظراً لضيق الوقت لم تنظر اللجنة، في دورتها العادية لعام 2000، في البند 5 من جدول أعمالها المتعلق بالطلبات الواردة من المنظمات الحكومية المدرجة في القائمة لأغراض عمل لجنة التنمية المستدامة والراغبة في توسيع نطاق مشاركتها كي يشمل ميادين أخرى يهتم بها المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.

It had before it a memorandum by the Secretary-General containing applications from non-governmental organizations on the Roster for the purpose of the work of the Commission on Sustainable Development to expand their participation in other fields of the Economic and Social Council (E/C.2/1999/CRP.7).
