27. The General Labour Act The Law contains general provisions regarding labour rights and obligations, with the exception of the agricultural sector, which is governed by special legislation.

The Ministry of Labour considers that public servants who provide services in the aforementioned agricultural regions carry out their functions to their fullest potential, complying with the provisions of the General Labour Act, its regulatory statute and other related norms.

وفي ضوء ما تقدم، اعتمدت وزارة العمل قراراً بالغ الأهمية يقضي بتواجد مفتشي عمل في المجالات الزراعية، لديهم الصلاحيات والموارد الكافية للنهوض بالمهام الموكلة إليهم بمقتضى القانون العام للعمل ومرسومه التنظيمي والقواعد الدولية الناظمة للعمل.

45- ويُتوقع مراجعة القانون العام للعمل لكي يتماشى ومتطلبات سوق العمل إذ يوجد مشروع مراجعة في طور الصياغة حاليا، وقانون موظفي الإدارة العامة الذي ينظم عمل الإدارة العامة في غينيا - بيساو.

The General Labour Act provides for normal working time of 44 hours per week and 8 hours per day.
28- وينص القانون العام للعمل على المدة الاعتيادية للعمل، وهي أربع وأربعون ساعة من العمل أسبوعياً وثماني ساعات في اليوم الواحد.

The General Labour Act and other texts confer a combination of special rights on women workers as regards protection during maternity to allow proper integration of women into the world of work and at the same time to allow them to discharge their highest social duty as mothers.
وينص القانون العام للعمل وقوانين أخرى على مجموعة من الحقوق الخاصة في مجال حماية الأمومة لصالح النساء العاملات وذلك بإتاحة الاندماج الفعلي للنساء في مجال العمل، وفي الوقت نفسه، السماح لهن بممارسة وظيفتهن الاجتماعية الأسمى وهي وظيفة الأمومة.

Article 11 of the General Labour Act states that a working relationship with minors aged 14 to 18 years is valid where authorized by the child's legal representative or, in the absence of such a representative, by the Employment Centre or the appropriate institutions.
65- وتعتبر المادة 11 من القانون العام للعمل أن علاقة العمل مع قاصرين يبلغون من العمر من 14 إلى 18 سنة هي علاقة صحيحة شريطة أن يرخصها الممثل القانوني، أو في غيابه، مركز العمل أو مؤسسات مناسبة.

673. With regard to the implementation in domestic legislation of instruments to which Guinea-Bissau was already a party, the provisions of the above-mentioned conventions were reflected in many parts of national legislation, particularly the Constitution, the General Labour Law, the Public Servant Law, the Penal Code, the Civil Code and the Electoral Law.
