18. Moreover, the Arab States call for a number of interim steps to implement the Middle East resolution, as follows:
18 - كما وتطالب باتخاذ عدد من الخطوات الانتقالية لتنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط كالآتي:

Time should be allotted during the Preparatory Committee meetings for the 2010 Review Conference to review the implementation of the resolution on the Middle East.
وينبغي تخصيص الوقت خلال اجتماعات اللجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر الاستعراضي لعام 2010 لاستعراض تنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط.

- The resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

Fourthly, we support the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East. In that context, we wish to emphasize that this objective and the 1995 resolution on the Middle East are essential not only to the security of my country but to the security and stability of the entire Middle East.
أولا: إن تأسيس منطقة شرق أوسط خال من الأسلحة النووية استنادا إلى القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط الصادر خلال مؤتمر التمديد اللانهائي للمعاهدة لعام 1995 تبقى مسألة حيوية ليس فقط لأمن بلادي، ولكن لأمن واستقرار كافة الدول في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

The Conference should establish a technical committee to set a specific timetable for implementation of the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference, and the three depository States should bring pressure to bear on Israel to accede to the Treaty and to submit its nuclear programme to IAEA safeguards.

13. The Group of Non-Aligned States Parties to the Treaty requests that specific time be made available at Preparatory Committee meetings of the 2010 Review Conference to review the implementation of the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference and the Final Document of the 2000 Review Conference.
13 - وترجو مجموعة دول عدم الانحياز الأطراف في المعاهدة تخصيص وقت محدد أثناء اجتماعات اللجنة التحضيرية لمؤتمر الأطراف لاستعراض المعاهدة لعام 2010 من أجل استعراض تنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط الذي اعتمده مؤتمر الاستعراض لعام 1995 والتمديد والوثيقة الختامية لمؤتمر الاستعراض لعام 2000.

His delegation supported the resolution on the Middle East adopted at the 1995 Review and Extension Conference and the outcome of the 2000 Review Conference, which aimed to find a fair solution to the political instability in that region.

In this context, they reaffirmed the importance to establish at the 2005 Review Conference a subsidiary body to Main Committee I to deliberate on practical steps for systematic and progressive efforts to eliminate nuclear weapons, as well as a subsidiary body to Main Committee II to consider and recommend proposals on the implementation of the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference of the NPT.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد رؤساء الدول أو الحكومات من جديد على أهمية إنشاء، خلال المؤتمر الاستعراضي لعام 2005، هيئة فرعية تابعة للجنة الرئيسية الأولى للتداول بشأن الخطوات العملية للجهود المنتظمة والتدريجية لنزع الأسلحة النووية وإنشاء هيئة فرعية تابعة للجنة الرئيسية الثانية لدراسة والتوصية بمقترحات بشأن تنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط الذي اعتمده مؤتمر استعراض وتمديد معاهدة حظر الانتشار لعام 1995.

In that connection, my delegation wishes to make the following points. First, the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the Middle East, based on the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 NPT Review and Extension Conference (NPT/ CONF.1995/32 (Part I), Annex), is a vital issue, not only for the security of my country but for the security and stability of all the States in the Middle East.
وفي هذا الصدد، يود وفد بلادي أن يؤكد على الجوانب التالية: أولا، إن إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في الشرق الأوسط استنادا إلى القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط الصادر خلال مؤتمر الأطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها لعام 1995 تبقى مسألة حيوية ليس فحسب لأمن بلادي، ولكن أيضا لأمن واستقرار الدول كافة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

(b) The establishment of a subsidiary body to Committee II of the 2010 Review Conference in order to consider proposals relating to implementation of the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review Conference and to prepare and adopt effective mechanisms for its implementation;
(ب) إنشاء هيئة فرعية تابعة للجنة الثانية في مؤتمر استعراض المعاهدة لعام 2010، للنظر في المقترحات المتعلقة بتنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط الذي اعتمد في مؤتمر الاستعراض لعام 1995، ولإعداد واعتماد آليات فعالة لتنفيذ قرار الشرق الأوسط؛

14. The Group of Non-Aligned States Parties to the Treaty requests the establishment of a subsidiary body to Main Committee II of the 2010 Review Conference to consider and recommend proposals on the implementation of the resolution on the Middle East adopted by the 1995 Review and Extension Conference and the Final Document of the 2000 Review Conference.
14 - وترجو مجموعة دول عدم الانحياز الأطراف في المعاهدة إنشاء هيئة فرعية تابعة للجنة الرئيسية الثانية في مؤتمر استعراض المعاهدة لعام 2010 للنظر في اقتراحات بشأن تنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط الذي اعتمده مؤتمر الاستعراض والتمديد لعام 1995 والوثيقة الختامية لمؤتمر الاستعراض لعام 2000، وتقديم اقتراحات بشأن تنفيذها.

In her statement, the European Union High Representative concluded by indicating that the European Union and its member States intend to start promptly the implementation of the measures of the action plan for the three pillars and that, in addition, the European Union would immediately engage in the preparation of its contribution to the process for the implementation of the Middle East resolution.
واختتمت الممثلة السامية للاتحاد الأوروبي بيانها بالإشارة إلى أن الاتحاد الأوروبي والدول الأعضاء فيه تعتزم البدء فورا في تنفيذ التدابير الواردة في خطة العمل في ما يتعلق بالركائز الثلاث، وأن الاتحاد الأوروبي سينخرط فوراً، بالإضافة إلى ذلك، في إعداد مساهمته في عملية تنفيذ القرار الخاص بالشرق الأوسط.
