The Meeting recalled the importance of Economic and Social Council resolution 1992/22 of 30 July 1992, in section VII of which the Council had decided that the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice should include in its agenda a standing item on existing United Nations standards and norms in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, including their use and application.
23- ذكّر الاجتماع بأهمية قرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 1992/22 المؤرخ 30 تموز/يوليه 1992، حيث قرر المجلس في القسم " سابعا " أن تدرج لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية في جدول أعمالها بنداً ثابتا بشأن معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها القائمة في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، بما في ذلك استخدامها وتطبيقها.

In its resolution 1992/22, section VII, the Economic and Social Council decided that the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice should include in its agenda a standing item on existing United Nations standards and norms in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, which serve as recommendations to Member States, including their use and application.
٢ - وقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في القسم سابعا من القرار ٢٩٩١/٢٢ أنه ينبغي للجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية أن تدرج في جدول أعمالها بندا ثابتا عن معايير اﻷمم المتحدة وقواعدها القائمة في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية ، والتي تصلح كتوصيات للدول اﻷعضاء ، بما في ذلك استخدام وتطبيق هذه المعايير والقواعد .

A total of 90 Member States replied to the questions in section VII of the biennial reports questionnaire for the fourth reporting period (2004-2006), compared with 88 in the third reporting period (2002-2004), 113 in the second reporting period (2000-2002) and 109 in the first reporting period (1998-2000).
8- بلغ عدد الدول الأعضاء التي قدّمت ردودا على الأسئلة الواردة في القسم سابعا من الاستبيان الخاص بالتقارير الاثناسنوية لفترة الإبلاغ الرابعة (2004-2006) 90 دولة عضوا، بينما كان عددها قد بلغ 88 في فترة الإبلاغ الثـالثة (2002-2004)، و113 في فترة الإبلاغ الثانية (2000-2002)، و109 في فترة الإبلاغ الأولى (1998-2000).
