The aim of the Conference was to discuss how to facilitate in the future access to foreign law in civil and commercial matters at a global level.

وتنص المادة 1 من هذا القانون على أن القوانين الأجنبية التي تستهدف إحداث آثار قانونية خارج الإقليم الوطني بفرض حصار اقتصادي أو قيود على الاستثمار في بلد ما، بغية تغيير حكومة ذلك البلد أو التأثير على حقه في تقرير مصيره، لا تطبق البتة ولا تترتب عليها آثار قانونية.

5. On 24 October 1996, the Act on Protection of Trade and Investment against Foreign Norms which Violate International Law entered into force in Mexico.
