The Advisory Committee points out that the situation concerning the performance and accountability of implementing partners has not improved and the comments of the Advisory Committee in its report (A/50/560, paras. 7-10) remain valid.

The General Assembly, in its resolution 55/249 of 12 April 2001, endorsed the observations and recommendations of the Advisory Committee contained in its report (A/55/806, paras. 7-15), on the emoluments, travel and subsistence regulations and disability payments for the ad litem judges of ICTY.

83. The General Assembly, in its resolution 57/289, endorsed the observations and recommendations of the Advisory Committee contained in its report (A/57/593, para. 23) on the conditions of service for the ad litem judges of ICTR.

6. In its resolution 54/241 B of 15 June 2000, the General Assembly, acting on the recommendation of the Advisory Committee contained in its report dated 4 May 2000 (A/54/858), appropriated an additional amount of $65,789,000 gross ($66,606,500 net) for the operation of UNAMSIL for the financial period 1999-2000.

147. Like the 2005/06 performance reports, the results-based frameworks in the 2007/08 budgets build on lessons learned from the previous financial period. The frameworks also take into account the recommendations of the Advisory Committee contained in its report (A/60/880) and as endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 60/266.

By its resolution 61/245, the General Assembly endorsed the conclusions and recommendations of the Advisory Committee contained in its report on the comprehensive review of governance and oversight within the United Nations and its funds, programmes and specialized agencies (A/61/605).

Paragraph 4 of document A/52/401/Add.2 outlines the proposals of the Secretary-General contained in his report (A/48/945 and Corr.1) and the recommendations of the Advisory Committee contained in its report (A/49/664/Add.1) to guide the disposition of assets of peacekeeping operations which were endorsed by the General Assembly in section VII of its resolution 49/233 A of 23 December 1994.

6. The Advisory Committee was informed that efforts had been undertaken to promote streamlined reporting by Member States, in accordance with the recommendation of the Advisory Committee in its report of 20 May 2002 (see A/56/7/Add.11).

43. Lastly, he drew attention to the comments of the Advisory Committee in its report on the financing of UNPREDEP (A/54/824, para. 9), in which it had emphasized that the period of liquidation was not necessarily a function of the size of a mission, but was also related to adequate planning, resource allocation and efficiency.

2. The note by the Secretary-General constitutes the first annual report on the status of all death and disability claims, in accordance with the recommendations made by the Advisory Committee in its report dated 3 March 2000 (A/54/782), endorsed by the General Assembly in its decision 54/459 B.
